HP Pavillion a1750y. Just 1 G ram, & I think 180G hard drive. Need to get more memory for sure. Edited to add: While I was on the subject, I just ordered another Gig ram to speed this thing up a bit. Doubling ram should make a definite improvement.

Ram is the best improvement you can make without spending a whole bunch trying to upgrade the processor which depends on the motherboard used. You did good and should definitely notice a difference.

I always build my own computers. I used to have water cooling and lights inside my case but got tired of the maintenance. Now I just haul it outside once a month and take the air compressor to it. I am also in to overclocking.

Here are the specs of my main machine:
Intel 9550 quad core overclocked to 3.8ghz per core
4gb ram
two 500gb serial ata hard drives
950 watt power supply
nvidia 9600gt video card
office 2003
windows 7 64bit

Well, I've admitted it before, and I'll have to do it again... I know nothing!!! I can't find the tag that lists the horse power, cubic inch or anything. All I can tell you is the hood ornament is an apple with bite out of it!

At least run a compression check on the thing. Maybe it needs re-ringed! LOL

I've never run any anti virus, adware, spyware, or malware software and this Aplle has never missed a beat in 2 years. My wife has the IMAC G5 with the dual core intel processor 4 GIGS of RAM. Leopard 10X OS is great, it takes very little computer resources compared to windows, and is almost idiot proof
