Nice!
I need to get me a lathe!

Ask Ellis for pics of his walk in unit. It's pretty cool, but the electrical hookup is kind of shoddy.

As to the first part, it's a horizontal mill.

As to the second...............

Must of had to paint something, this project seems to have hit a brick wall.....

Paint's overrated. But, on this, I think I'll have to give in. Time to attack what is probably the biggest issue aesthetically on the B6. The plastic grill. It was in really bad shape. Cracked, broken and pieces missing. Found one listed for sale.........$300......out of stock. Wouldn't have paid that much anyway(maybe $75). Put searches on eBay, etc. for used ones......nothing. So, figured if I could get the stock one shored up and looking acceptable at 30 feet, that would work. Here it is, as I got it.

This is the worst area. Broken clean through and across. Missing pieces.

My repair centered on using an old plastic shelf bin for the structural repair. The plastic is very tough, but has some flex. I had a blue one lying around and I cut it in pieces and glued them on using JB Plastic Weld. It's a two part mixture. Sets up quick, and it's strong. Here's where I'm at now.

In this area, I built up where there was a prominent design feature. I wanted to replicate that. Next step will be to rough shape things. After that, I have some JB Plastic putty for final filling. Then I'll be able to finish shape, sand and paint. Or, at least that's the plan. Never did something like this, but I'm somewhat encouraged so far. It's definitely a lot stronger.

Update.......

Pics: Auf Wiedersehen

Tractor: She's been mowing my lots with the 5' Kioti rear deck. Runs strong. The grill came out great, structurally. The paint match my nephew did?.......well, let's just say it turned out juuuuuust "peachy". But, at least it's painted.
