Call me crazy, but that doesn't look like it started out as a Roper.  It looks like someone "made" a Roper hood fit.

Agree, Only the hood looks like a Roper.

No,that's a Roper. There styling was a little different than the Sears versions in the 70's.

Yep that's all roper.It's a little earlier than the 20T you have larrybl.It's the earlier 73-75 Roper RT series.

Yep, I agree a little earlier, has the earlier dash and looks to be a metal gas tank, they started switching to plastic in mid to late 75.
