Well its been a week since the bite and William is doing well. most of the swelling has gone down and it is not as tender as it has been. We had to start antibiotics on tuesday because it had started to show signs of infection, it seems to be clearing up. The foot is not very tender but he has been refusing to walk on it. We have been trying for several days to get him to walk but he said he couldnt straighten his leg out, it hurt behind his knee to much. Well after a few days of us fussing at him I decided to try some strecthing. Nothing forceful just repitions and some messaging. I turned him over on his stomach and then I could see why he was having trouble, the back of his knee has a pocket of swelling and brusing right at all the tendons. We had been so worried about his foot we hadnt checked anything else. We are hoping that in a few more days that the back of his knee will look like the rest (normal).

He has been in good spirits this entire time, he is still able to have fun and participate and play with his little brother. He is getting spoiled quit a bit. He is able to laugh and cut up and wrestle on th floor just like always. He still has fun agrivating his brother. A few more weeks and he should be back to 100%.

I would like to thank everyone for their prayers for William, I am sure that without them he would not be doing as weel as he is.

Glad to hear he is getting better. He might have stretched that tendon when he got bit.

Boy, is that good news! :yelclap:
You think another week before it's back to normal?

Once he starts using that foot, two days later, you'll never know it happened. Just keep an eye out for that infection to come back.

Coldone, so glad to hear the good report! He's likely gotten spoiled as you say, so better find some projects to keep him busy once back to full swing. I say a tractor of his own should do it!

Glad to hear William is doing better. Hope the rest of the swelling goes down soon and the infection doesn't come back so he can get back to running around like usual.
