Since I last posted I mounted the mower deck but the drive shaft installation will have to wait for parts. I may try to "Oklahoma engineer" some pins but maybe not. The front PTO kills the engine when I engage it. Anyone have any Ideas? I also have a very small fuel leak. I think everything is fixable so far.

engine dying could be a safety switch or wiring issue or a frozen clutch.

My guess is a safety switch. An easy way to check the clutch is run a jumper wire from the battery bypassing the wire harness.

I resemble that remark! Where in Oklahoma?

Does the clutch turn freely without power to it?

Yes it turns freely and will briefly engage when the PTO switch is pulled.
