With all of you guy's complaining about bitter cold and snow, I hate to tell you a it was a beautiful sunny  79 degrees here  in Southeast Ga. today. Weekend forecast for sunny and 77 degrees. Looks like a fishing trip maybe in the weekend forecast as well.

I can sympathies  with y'all. We did have 2 terrible days with the lows in the mid to upper 20's last weekend. Sure was a miserable 2 days, nearly went plum crazy.

Here is a set of hillers I have been working on for my old Jaques Mighty Mite. Potato plow was an after thought

Keep warm my friends.

I guess on the plus side you guy's don't have to swat mosquitoes in January?

Staring at the seed catalogue's here too. My wife mentioned getting our seeds earlier this year, last year we were late on getting most things out. I got so many winter projects some will definitely be spring projects. We got three inches of snow a few days ago & 64 high today...crazy.

14" on Blue Lake, and I heard the perch are biting. I'll check that out this afternoon. I went rabbit hunting last night with a co-worker, I got five. He got three. He claimed victory, because he only shot three times. Let's just say I shot more than five rounds........

It is -15 here right now. Just the right temperature for ice fishing with a flask.

Have to be a large flask for me to be out there! And it would be half empty before I'd leave the house!

Winter was never an issue until the 50th birthday ,now its just plain sucks. I think the general consensus here is that we all just HATE WINTER. With having to plow at work it makes it worse. I am not complaining for the Winter we have had so far has been milder here in PA  than it should be.

My wife has family in Georgia and when we visit it gets harder to leave every time. When it snows they just stay home and it melts by lunch time!

The real issue is "Would she let me take the herd along"???? :worshippy1:

Start taking one of the 'herd' along when you visit. Leave it there. Before long the 'herd' is moved and you just have to go down there with them!

I heard that they expect an 1" of ice out west.  Sure hope all that lives out that way are safe and warm.  The ice from the storm last week just melted and now it has been in the upper 60 and lower 70s the last few day.  I have a good riding buddy who is from South Dakota, he only goes home to visit in the summer.   Went riding yesterday and we have 2 rides planned for this weekend, weather is going to be in the mid to upper 60's.  I suspect we will have to pay the price for this nice weather down the road.

My favorite part of winter is spring! 67 here yesterday, after last weekend was from 0-22 with a foot of snow and high winds. 50's today, followed by possible ice storm overnight. Did I mention I also hate winter?

So far we are on the edge of that ice, Bill. Temps are just above freezing. I'm more worried about tomorrow morning!
