I have probably a 2001 lt1000 with a sheet metal front axle. The axle is tired and sagging. I read of cast axle models. Are the axles interchangeable? What would I look for to identify a replacement axle.

Thanks

Tom

Your main spec would be thread width.  Other than that you will need to be handy and do some fab work.

Check our sponsors and local savage yards for parts.

The stamped steel axle mates up to a stamped steel flange. 50+% of your slop is coming from that. The bushing gets wallered out and the outside of the flange gets bent.
