When I read your post about u-joints, I was wondering if you knew something that I didn't.
Those are similar to the old pin in block.
Be back in a minute

Another thought I just had is to machine the holes out in the yoke to accept a bigger cap, very little a make it so that it can accept a modern u joint.

Perhaps a neapco 1-0475, and make a retainer.
Neapco 1-0475 is .75caps by 1.90cross.

Thanks, the only thing bad on that assembly on mine is the two small idlers, I just got my replacements today.

Here's what I am dealing with as far as the drive shaft goes, Neapco 1-0475 won't work, too big, a GWB 437.10 would be about right, .591"cap and 1.61 cap to cap, wouldn't have to remove much material.
http://www.drive-lin...ujointchart.htm The u joint I have in mind is the top one.
Here are some pics of my shaft parts,

Hopefully that $143 price isn't correct 😲

Didn't notice that, wish I could find something that small in neapco or something.

There was a guy building and selling replacement shafts, flanged yoke to 1" 15 spline quick coupler with the 1000 series universals a few years ago for around $380 so I know all the parts to make one are out there somewhere.

The small Weasler 02 series, .59" cap by 1.50" cross would work, cheaper too just need the whole part number.

We were posting at the same time, I can use my shaft if I have a u joint to use, Weasler would be ideal.

I think I'm just going to build a new half shaft.
