I have in the past made funnels that looked like that. That could be the same thing and the hole for hanging it up.

Leave it up to the Bolens engineers to make a paper airplane that way. Probably the same dude that designed the LF two stage snowblowers.  :rolling:

I'm with Deerlope.  My Dad (Bolens dealer) had several similar funnels that worked well in some particular tight quarters (like filling tube frame transaxles).  Could be Bolens sold as a service tool.

Its a monkey wrench for the left-handed flywheel on an undocumented prototype that is locked down in a top secret shop.

Deerlope and Framesteer are correct.

The Bolens oil filler carried part # 1701422, and was shipped with some Bolens 2-wheel tractors.

It is listed in the Parts Manual for the 15FC & 15FD Versamatics, but I believe it may have also been shipped with other model tractors.

It came in handy for adding oil to the B&S engines with the spring-loaded oil filler cap, and also tractors where the front grille made it difficult to insert a funnel into the oil filler of the engine.

I was thinking a left over stamping from the paper airplane factory. I'm glad I didn't go with that answer. LOL
