Hey guys, I have my two Shibaura tractors, one a Ford LGT 14D the other a Lesco 7400(Ford CM274). I have no clue what hydro fluid was in them originally, manuals are vague saying "use approved genuine Ford Tractor fluids" which could mean anything. I guessed and threw in HyTran in both thinking it was close enough. Well, now I have seals leaking on both tractors. I drained the 274 and now would like to flush it with something a little more friendly. I was thinking of 30w or 15-40w motor oil. Something a little thicker, but now too thick as I plan on pushing snow with it, although they are kept in a heated garage so it's not like they get too cold. I would also like to use the same fluid in both. I know there are two sides to the heated debate between oil/hydro fluid issue but, I just need advice from someone who has actually done the swap. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

The Napa version of Hy-tran is great!!

No replacement for seal replacement!
