Ended up putting it back together. Didn't drill anything out. Figured if it lasted 30yrs before, hopefully I can get another 20 with these bearings and I can always replace them again.
This series of pictures are deceptive if viewed just separately from the other pictures I posted. The caps all came off and all the pins were pressed out, etc.

It would be really nice if you posted some step-by-step pics and part numbers of your u-joint rebuilding. Tons of us out here have the same problem. Paul

So the first 3 photos are of the old and the 4th is the finished product with new bearings? How did that go together? Just pressed in and stays put?

Gotta pull the caps, press the pins out, press the raceway out, clean it up, grease, press the new bearings in.
