Stopped at a junkyard today & found a couple of weights for KK's Commando 8

They say ROWE FDRY on them and they weigh 50# each.

Got them for scrap price at $32 :dancingbanana:

Cleaned them up a little. They are rough cast, so no heroic measures here, just the rotary wire and a little paint.

Nice weights, Alan. They will look good on KK's tractor.

Nice job on the weights.
I like that you took the time to paint the lettering.

They look good Alan, so where was KK when you were reconditioning the weights?

Alan, Those weights turned out nice. KK should be very happy with those.

I wont let either of them run the Hand Held grinder yet. She did help paint tho.

Go to Harbor Freight and buy a Chicago Tools Sander/Polisher. They are reasonable inexpensive and have an adjustable RPM, which is great when wire brush wheeling, and even grinding. I usually tune it up for heavy grinding and when I get closer to finished shape I lower the RPM to where it is just barely moving enough to grind lol. Same with wire brush wheeling. I think it would be great for starting out KK and Ryan since you can set the RPM where you want it and then tape it up so they can't touch it.
  • MH81 and middleageddeere have said thanks
