Points ignition Harley coil.1965 to 1979 Sportster coil will work. You can get new aftermarket coils for $30-$50 on ebay or good used OEM coils for $10-$30 if you do some digging.

Just make sure that you get a 12v coil.If not you'll have to install a ballast resistor to run the 6v coil on a 12v circuit.

Huge pile of them available on Ebay.

There a solid state coil but wire up and work just like the factory coil. You still have to use your Condensor.Coil is marked + on 1 side - on the other just like your original coil.

They make two.
One for points ignition.
And, one for electronic ignition.
You want the points type. Made for motorcycles of the sixties.
I bought one on EBay from a seller out of Worcester Mass.
I cost me about $37.
