Its a 1959 it one ruff Ride a matic tad much for the shape its in.

Maybe he meant 1957? Or 1967?

Looking at the assorted junk in the back of his truck , I would bet he is a scrapper and got it for free.

There are some crazy prices out there. Not worth more than $100-125 at best. Missing the belt guard.  On Ebay there's one for $2200, nice one, but too much$$. Another one on Sacramento C/list for $1000 and it is also missing the guard. They all think they have a gold plated machine!

Ever notice  the nice complete all original machines always sell for fair market value in the area and its always the  hacked ,beat up or missing pieces machines that always sell for the nutty prices ?

 

Just something I have observed over the years , not sure what it means.......
