Found it somewhere on the Internet. Several in the $40-60 range. New Chinese knockoffs. This one has the choke lever on the outside with no way to attach a cable without modification. I can live with that. I can post part number later. Waiting on voltage regulator to finish the rewire.i will be able to see how good it runs after that

Is the one you have just like the picture in the link? On mine the two screw holes at the back hold the choke cable although on mine the cable is on the other side of the carb. I will take a picture of mine if I can.

this has the holes but they are not tapped. The lever has no holes drilled for the cable. Mine has the foot pads, not the full running boards, and the choke lever is about 4" passed my toes. If you can reach your feet, you can run the choke, so I will leave it as is. One less cable to mess with.

Drawing in the box of parts I found that say wards mower deck this was hand made by the previous owner who is not living to ask any questions.

View looking down showing the pulleys the PTO pulleys and linkage is all in place but it seems I am missing one of the bottom rollers that change direction of the belt to go under the machine. One of the shives in the box maybe the one I don't know.

Welcome to GTT. Your tractor looks similar to my MW 14...which is a 1971 model

It is similar but mine has the foot boards that attach to the rear fenders. Mine like yours has the headlights that are not part of the grill like some of the later models I believe mine is a 75 but I am not certain about that.

Might want to put that manual in the Gilson MW section. They seem to disappear from posts.

I posted some of these pics in different posts along the way but they may help here also. The tractor is a M/W, 16 horse briggs, variable drive, that had more than one deck due to rusting out of the original. The tractor manual is dated 11/74 and the deck manual is 2/85, but this deck was on the tractor. The PO had the deck replaced with a new deck due to rust. If you would like more pics just ask.
