Was going to go work on Alice, but thought I would check the freebies on CL first. Low and behold, the first item was a FREE pressure washer and two Stihl edger/trimmers. Called the guy. Said the Stihl's ran good, just bought a new one with interchangeable tools. He had used the pressure washer twice and couldn't get it to start. Told him I'd be there shortly. 60 mile round trip later and we have these in the shop.

The washer is a 2011 model, but the plug is still shiny new. Oil is clean. So i bet the carb is full of water or gunked bad from ethanol gas.

Don't think they are. They still sell these models, new price around $340-350. These are the Professional grade units.

It is NOT ethanol gas that causes problems.  I have a Stihl line trimmer that I bought new about 14 years ago and seen nothing but ethanol gas and has never been to the shop.  Stihl chain saw about 8 years old.  Same situation. That is all I ever buy for everything, but I do use Sta-bail if they are not going to be used for a couple weeks.

Mr P, what is the number on those trimmers????

The edger is an FC-90. The weedeater is an FS-90-R. I looked them up online and it will cost you nearly $700 for the pair right now.

The Stihl's are supposed to be okay and run. It's the power washer that has issues. It's a 2011 model and he said he only used it twice. So it has sat for the best part of 5 years with no additives in the gas.

I suspect you will have that power washer up and running before the week is out and maybe the weekend.
