Has anyone else noticed that the site is responding very slowly. I noticed it at about10:10Pm CST tonight. It takes almost 1 minute to get the site to respond. Just thought I would ask. I've had issues with my DSL over the last few months. Thanks

It's alright. There was an issue with the database. I am checking in to it now. If the database locks it will slow the whole site down because the whole site relies on a database to store all of the information. I think it is a configuration setting that has been changed since the server move the other night.

Glad you got an idea of the problem, but sorry you have to do this first thing in the morning. I still think Firefox is most of my slow down. I've tried all their fixes and hasn't helped that much.

In all honesty I love firefox but it is a resource hog because of the cache it uses. Google chrome is my favorite but the problem I have with chrome is the text editor doesn't support image placement with chrome like it does with firefox.

I think that is where I have the problem, as I have an older HP computer. Cache just gets too large and I need to get off for a while and clear things out. Especially if I have been online for quite a while. I have Advanced System Care Pro that I run every couple days that helps a lot. Probably need to do it every day on this computer so it will keep its speed.

Search is going to be messed up for a little bit until I rebuild the search index. Just wanted to give a little heads up.

Yep, we upgraded servers two nights ago which means the site was physically moved from one server to another and even though everything should technically stay the same there are still some settings that will need to be gone over again. Did a little fine tuning on the database with a little more work to go but I think our biggest problem which caused the errors last night was after the move I never rebuilt the search index and all of the errors were on the search_log table. I dumped the index and rebuilt it so I am hoping that should take care of the problem. We will have to see again on a busy night, last night got pretty busy and put the new server to the test :D

Man,for some reason ,right at this moment, this is about as slow as I have ever seen it.I click on a post, and it takes 30 seconds to a minute,or longer to react, and go to that post.I know in this case ,it isn't my computer, because it is working find everywhere else.

It's not your computer. Please bare with me until we get whatever is causing the problems fixed. Gotta dig through logs to see what is causing the issues or if the site is getting DOS attacks.
