My 1254 fires up ok but there is oil squirting out from the head gasket after a few minutes. Is this a simple case of renewing the gasket and perhaps skimming the head? Your thoughts please.

Thanks

Andrew

I would be concerned as to how the oil is getting to the head, my first guess would be it bypassing the rings due to wear.

Oil getting by the rings means worn rings/ cylinder but if it runs good and dosent smoke theres no need to worry, While you got the head off check the bore and see if its in good shape and not scored or warped.
