I just recently picked up 2 Custom 6s. I believe a 66 & 67. One is electric & the other is recoil start. I plan on restoring them.
I have the (what I believe) 67 (which is electric) all torn apart to start the repaint process. The motor needs some lovin. Model # is 917.25092. I know it has a Tecumseh 6hp. But any other help or info would be super!

Based on the model number, I'm guessing it's a '67.

Mine has the flat fenders. 67 had both round and flat fenders. From what I've seen.

Where do you find the serial #? Also the Engine # on mine is gone. Sadly.

The engine numbers are stamped into the tin shroud. Usually on top.
Paint and mung hide them well.

The numbers should be on the bottom of the shifter plate. The model# on the left & the serial# on the right.
The engine number will be where MH81 said.
