I am looking to see what kind of newer engine i can put in a 1970 sears suburban ss12 cheap engine but with decent power it is becoming a pulling tractor? and thank you....

If you want to do pulling with that, I would suggest finding an older Kohler motor. It should fit without a lot of mods There is a lot of aftermarket build up parts for them.

Cheap, well, not sure how cheap you can find one and usually building for more horsepower comes with a price.

They came factory with Tecumseh flatheads, but the Kohlers and even older Briggs will out perform the Tecs.
