Is there such a thing as suitcase weights for a PK?  Will the front end actually hold a few weights without buckling or do I need to rig something to fit into the front implement connections?

That front bumper isn't really made to hold weights.  You're best off to make a bracket and attach it to the frame.

2X what Jeff posted, the front bumper mounts are not very substantial.

Look and realize that whole heavy metal "bumper" is only held on by a pair of 3/8" bolts and nuts, AND, in most cases you can pivot it up/down some.  Most of it is held up by just being jambed against front of tractor below.  I would go down side of frame on each side with bar or angle and mount a cross piece in front for such weights.

ON another note, make some up like others have for their brands, carve PK in them or ??? or cast and I'll buy some, heh!  Don't make to overly big.

Thanks to all!  I couldn't imagine that front bumper holding anything substantial but I have gotten to the age I ask before I make life more difficult for myself.  I think the brains have finally overtaken the brawn.

  • KennyP said thank you
