Well I picked up another Massey today,it looks a lot like the 1855A I got a few weeks back but a bit smaller.I am hoping to use some parts from it on the 1855A as that tractor has a three point that is use full to me . The tractor does run but the Kohler 16hp in it does not seem original and the hood was trimmed to have it fit.The replacement engine would not be a problem if it was good but it smokes and burns oil like crazy. For what I paid for it I think the wheel weights and deck make it worth while .Anyone ever adapt a 1855A to run the belt type deck ?,it looks like it would not be too hard .Well I took a few pics before I chased leaves around the yard with it for an hour or so.

Nice looking 1650, too bad someone hacked up that nice hood, I don't know how much work it would be to convert the deck over. You could maybe find another spindle shaft that is shorter and change the center out. Then add the gear box and you should be good to go. Just an idea. Good luck

I found not much interchanges between these models, even tho similar looking. Size matters is true here.

Nice! They are a good tractor, but hard to compare to the beast that the 1855 is. Looks like the engine just had the wrong air cleaner on it lol, what a shame they cut the hood.
