I went and bought a new filter for my shop vac the other day. Why there I saw that they had a washable sleeve that you slip over the the filter so I grabbed that, too. When I went to put it on, I found that it was too small for my size filter. So, now I'm wondering how it would work on the air filter on my K301. I use a filter that is twice as high as normal. I'm just wondering if you think it will pass air just as well as the ones the manufacturers sell for tractors.

I have an old Wards Steel 15 gal tank I use to clean the corn stove.  Have to have that washable sleeve over the paper filter to filter that fine fly ask out.  If I don't use it the room and everything in it get full of fly ash dust.  Has not restricted the sucking action of the vac that I can tell.  I wash it out a couple times a winter - from the inside out.  I bet it would work good when operated in a higher dusty condition.
