I am not responsible for the links, and I still have fire ants after $50.00 of ant killer, they just moved.

I've never had to fight fire ants, but why can't you do them like a yellow jacket nest and pour a Pepsi bottle full of gas in the nest after the sun goes down and light it off?

After a rain, I can have over 100 + mounds of various sizes covering three acres. Any type of treatment will be expensive. The Fire Ant killer previously deployed only caused them to move, so a treatment would need to cover 100% of three acres, and possibly into the additional two un-cleared acres.

Not that I know of, they are an invasive species.
