Hey guys, bought this Husqvarna on CL for $50, was a gamble as most flips are. Worse thing it would be good parts, came with two bin bagger. When there guy offered me a nice Troy-Bilt chipper/vac and was throwing away a nice Echo sting trimmer. The vac needed minor repairs and works great! The Echo trimmer needed new head and air cleaner and it too is worth trip!

Now to the tractor, got it running and hydro is weak, thought a purge and found a pulley mounted upside down might let us luck out, nope! Also deck is having cracked spindle mount and broken housing. Plan to either scrap it after parting it or looking for another AYP unit with good hydro/bad engine combo. Engine might have blown head gasket, slight smoke or possible high hours by looks of deck issue and front tires.  Almost forgot about what appears to be cracks in front frame rail by axle mount. We have fixed worse than this as it is a hobby for fun and time together!

That frame cracked just like my Craftsman did.  Looks like the same frame too.  I thought someone told Husqvarna was a stand alone outfit but that sure looks like an AYP frame to me.

I think the problem is the mower deck has a lot of leverage on that part of the frame and the frame isn't solidly welded to the axle channel.  Every time the mower bumps something it flexes there.  Very poor design.

I finally got mine to quit cracking by welding all the way around the axle channel and reinforcing the whole mess.

Bring it here I'll give ya $50 for it lol

Sounds like a ohv Kohler command under the hood. They do blow head gaskets but not very often.Betting piston rings are worn.Just run it till she stops running or power gets down to far. You'll get a few years out of it yet if you keep oil in it.

Transaxle might be ok for a couple years with a good flush and fluid change.

lol I know right, reason I bought it was cheap. I'm out of work hurt right now and look on CL too much. I've had two Commands recently with blown head gaskets. Nothing like Inteks of course! Think your right, engine might have some hours. Tires show a lot of miles on front too. I'm thinking of trying to change fluid on hydro. Never did it before though. I know I got to remove it to make it easier.

Well I'll update this thread. Decided to use all the goodies for other machines. The seatwent to my personal GT6000 snow blower tractor. The baggers went onto a flip and will help sell that machine. The engine is most likely going onto a LT1000 and any other pieces go into parts bin. Like I stated when you buy them this cheap and non running always a gamble! I win in either case with all the good pieces this machine gave us! ;)
