My 1614 front blade usually works great but on occasion it will take about 30 tries to get the blade to raise. It is happening more and more regular. Any help? Thanks

Do you have a manual lift or hydraulic?  If hydraulic and you have enough fluid in the tank (which you probably do or it wouldn't raise at all) get down beside the machine and watch the linkage while you raise and lower to see what's going on that might be causing your problems.

Check the BELT

See if it starts slipping when you apply hoist.

Wow, can you tell it's been a loooong time since I've owned one of these?  I completely forgot about the belt which more than likely is the culprit.

Jeff I also had the set screw loosen up on the pulley that acted that way too if you find the belt isn't slipping . There's no high pitched squealing when it's under load ?  If so maybe the relief valve isn't adjusted for the correct pressure ? Not likely  but thought I would mention it . Here's when I did mine

Got looking closer today and found a adjustment on the passenger side of the pump mounting plate. It didn't adjust far enough  so welded a extension on adjusting bolt, worked great.
