Not mine. I'm just "plum crazy" for firetrucks......especially different ones.

Ya, me too, and mine is a 1972 American La-France 100ft aerial so it doesn't hide well. :wallbanging: What was I thinking ? I recently met a Cub Cadet collector that found a 1935 IH pumper that fits in his shop...he is obviously MUCH smarter than me.

100ft.? That's got to come in handy when it's time to trim the oak trees. Does everything still work? Have you posted pics before? Love to see it

The truck wound up selling for $28,600. and had 80 bids! Didn't think it would go that high, my amount was squashed pretty early on. Be nice to see what's done with it, just out of curiosity.

Bet the bid was shilled.  No way that truck is worth even half of that, event though it is cool.  High bidder has low feed back and low activity, which says shiller to me.  Bet it gets relisted due to "non-payment" in a couple weeks.

I don't like to say too much as I never really know for sure, but if you check the bids, there was a LOT of "ladder bidding". Incremental bidding that, whether intentional or not, drives the price up and helps to expose the top bidder's ceiling. Newbies do it often through excitement............and shills do it all the time.
