I finally had some time today to do some work on the Snapper ,it had a bunch of extra springs on the governor linkage. I had used the back blade a bit in my driveway and did notice the governor never did kick in when under a load.So I checked out the manuals and a few You-Tube videos and dug in.I'm not sure why the people before me did what they did with the extra springs but I suspect the carb is not the right one but is like new.I found the governor would never work as it was the rod was too short and was ground to fit the new carb.I found some rod in my shop and played around and bent up one that let me experiment with a few settings.I will try to hunt up the correct carb and new spring but for now it does function fairly well.I find I really like the way this thing is built seems easier to get to things and some thought was put into the care and upkeep.
