I got a Sunstar rear and sunstrand 15 for a project can you change the direction the input shaft rotates? I wood like to run it off the pto Side of the engine. Thanks for any and all help

You would have to check the pump bearing lube journals.  Pump bearing journals are usually lubed/fed from the low pressure side of the pump.  If ran backwards, the low pressure side will become the high pressure side and blow the outer shaft seals out.  The Sundstrand may or may not be designed like that.  I read about it years ago.  I've never had to tear that deep into one.  I'm sure someone more informed than I can confirm or deny that. I'm no expert by any means.  :D

  According to the repair manual I have for it, all you have to do is remove the charge pump bolts and rotate the pump housing 180*. In a pic it shows markings on the housing stamped RH and LH. The rotation you want will read upright on the top. Depending on how you plan to use it I imagine you'll have to change the control linkage to get the RPM you want from each direction.

I have a Sunstar hydro & diff under Hogzilla running opposite direction from OE.  The charge pump housing has LF on one side, and RH on the other.  As said, just rotate 180* to change rotation.
