Would anyone know where I can find a parts breakdown of the Haban Flail mower #513 and 514 or even an illustrated breakdown of it. I got all the pieces for 2 of them , Now I just need to know how to assemble those pieces.

I'm pretty sure there is atleast one manual in our Manuals Section but it is in the tractor brand section. Maybe Bolens or MTD. I have a Mott for my Simplicitys. Good Luck, Rick

What does it fit on? BigTent.com has a whole bunch of Haban files uploaded. But they don't care for folks 'borrowing' to post elsewhere. I might be able to find it and put it in a PM to you.

Kemny, either of these two would fit a large frame Bolens

I picked up a Flail-Mo this last weekend, and probably paid too much for it considering the amount of work that will be required to put it right. The plus side is that I also got the original manual for the 513/514 models that fit the Bolens Large Frames. I will try to get it scanned tonight and post it to the Manuals section. It includes the parts list and the diagrams of the unit.

Here is the 1971 manual & parts list for the Flail-Mo Models 513/514. The only difference I can see on a very quick look is that Haban superseded the knives with a newer design in the later manual.

The Haban group I linked to has the manuals for what tractor they fit. That's why I asked! And I cannot tell what is a 'small frame' Bolens from a 'large frame'.

There was a smaller version of the Haban Flail-Mo for the Bolens tube frame tractors. I suspect that the Haban group is referring to those tractors when they say "small frame", although I cannot prove it.

Yeah, that would be the 503 and 503A mowers.

Thanks guys for all your help . Come spring I should have a nice working flail mower. As complete as all these prints are I have yet to find a pic that shows the deflectors across the rear and in front of the roller in any of them.

I sure wish that I could find a right angle drive from the Haban 4 ft flail mower. With another drive I could put two of these together.  There is a web site that sells one that comes close to what is required. Maybe I will look around some more.

It would be so nice if there were a store where one could physically go in and have a look at them. It can be tough trying to source something like that on the net. How cool it would be to put together a 2nd unit.
