Have to wait till spring.........training for the Iditarod.

Perfect. I have a high school classmate who raises and trains huskies, and both him and his wife have run the Iditarod.

What did you do, Rich, break the website? Says it's unavailable now. I'd think a run up to MN would be good training for the dogs.

That's pretty cool, Scott. Beautiful dogs. Looks like a LOT of hard work and dedication. And a great place for kids to grow up

It's interesting to me that they focus on racing Siberian Huskies. Until recently, I kind of assumed that was pretty much the basic breed, or certainly dogs that looked similar. Now, as I watch some Alaskan based shows, I notice many of the dogs have a much different appearance. Their coats seem shorter, with longer legs and lots of color variations. Are they all mixes?

Most sled dogs are mixed breed dogs, it was quite the buzz when Blake showed up with a purebred team.

My SIL has run marathons, but running the Iditarod is dedication.

But,

He did not specify what type. I wonder if recycled bovine feed would work. 😉😉
