Hey guys, I finally got my missing hydraulic line replaced after many hours of labor. I had to remove one hydraulic ram to get the line replaced and, now that I'm ready to check it out, I want to see if anyone has tips on filling/bleeding a hydraulic system. I'm using Hy-Tran(generic) and my plan was to just fill the pump, start the engine, shut off, refill, restart and move some actuators/drive wheels, shutoff, refill...etc, etc.

Anyone ever have to do this? I will be flushing the system/new filters as well but, not till spring probably. I would hate to ruin a pump or something. Thanks in advance!

Sounds like a plan! That's how I changed mine. Just make sure it is full before you 'work' it to hard.
