hello all, ive got an old bolens husky 730 mod# 730-01 ser# 1347. having a heck of a time finding anything on this mower, it has a 12hp briggs on it, was mainly wondering about the drive belt routing I believe the last guy just jammed it in gear, the left hand foot lever was rusted in place and hooked to nothing, looking for a way to get the pedal working again, and the frame has been cut to make room for the 12hp briggs, not even sure linkage is all there,

thanks guys for any input u have

Hello your Bolens is a "Small frame" series made 1970 , the 12HP Briggs is Original

I do not have a PDF of that parts list so hopefully someone can scan one in or point you to one.

Thanks Bruce,  I made a Typo

B&S on the 730 should be model 170702 (7hp)

Thanks for correcting me!

You may find that the trany is stuck in gear because the parking brake is stuck on. Free it up and then readjust it. Good Luck, Rick

thanks guys, i freed up the linkage and things are starting to work again, everything was rusted stiff, what # belt can i use for the drive? hoping to get it at a local auto or hardware, and i figured it was a smaller engine cuz they cut frame out some to fit the beast in there
