Hi, I've been picking away on the 49, disassembling it slowing starting at the front, removed the tie rod got it apart had to heat it and used penetrating oil then straightened and cleaned it up, went to remove the steering arms and found the left one has lots of play, these arms / spindles do not have a key but rather just a 5/16" bolt turns out the left spindle bolt hole is badly worn so that could be the cause of it not steering as it should also the spindle shafts are worn and there is vertical play. Also removed the lift assembly and cleaned some of it up and these parts are in the paint room.
Went and looked at this Economy this afternoon

Do you have plans to tighten things up/get the slop out, GB?

Yes, I'm hoping I can get the spindle shaft out of the wheel fork if so then have a new one machined if it won't come out then I'll drill the thur bolt out and go to a 3/8" close tolerance aircraft bolt.
