I just bought a closed side LGT 165 with no attachments. Farted around with it for 2 hours and it purs real nice. Drives and hydraulics work. So I found a guy with a mint (he says) deck for sale. Hasn't given me a price yet but I was just wondering what the fair price for it would be. He said it's off a open side 165. Will it even work with a closed side 165? Thanks

Yes, the decks are the same.
They came in two sizes.
42" and 50".
Blades for the 50" are no longer available.

Does it come with the mule drive for the front of the tractor for the belt. Belts maybe different length for closed side and open side, from engine to deck. Great tractors. Heavy and a real work horse. Trouble is finding attachments. Have fun with it. Make attachments for it. If I needed a deck for one of mine, I would pay $200 for a 50" deck in good shape. Great grass cutters. And the 16 hp engine has no problem runnin a 50" deck. Just my experience.

Thanks guys. Good point on the mule drive. I guess a deck is no good without it. I bought this tractor for the Eaton pump in the beginning, but once I got it running I thought"sweet, now I have a good spare 16 hp for a MF". But tonight I was working on a deal for a parts Massey, and he mentioned he had a really nice deck with minimal use that he would let go. So i'm waiting on a price from him.

I can probably find a mule drive in my stuff if you need it.

I sold a couple of decks for $100-150, so I figure thats about what they go for

Thanks Poncho, and that's Canadian dollars even. Lol. I will keep you in mind if I end up needing one.
