Hello to all,

Been reading some of the posts, and well, Seems like a great place to ask questions. I'm a newbie,  so please excuse my ignorance, and I'll apologize now if I'm in the wrong forum.

So I'm looking for a tractor with a plow or snow-thrower, and there is little out there in the sales/swap-shop ads in our area. I happen on the sale of a trailer, and there is a fella offering his tractor on trade. I see the snow-thrower and offer to buy it for cash - long story short, It's now in my possession.

So - it's rough...Runs like a dream(needs battery), has a 3 speed transmission(act. 6 due to high/low)the shifter  is broken, Has a single stage thrower(Thank the lord, it's in excellent shape.) but I.m having trouble actually identifying this thing.

Here is what I know:

Wisconsin Engine reads - "TRA 21(D/0/something)

6 speed tranny

PTO up and left of shifter

brake to left of shifter

PTO in front only

Rear has a ball (1 7/8" or 2")

Painted all Red

Looks like a Large tube frame

Some kind of heavy-duty, kickass transaxle.

Besides knowing what I actually have, I really need to fix the shifter in order to use it. I would love to restore this thing back to original next spring/summer. If any of you fine folks can help me out, I would appreciate it very much. Thanks for reading this.

If you look underneath it, you will probably find that you actually have front and mid PTO. As the Doc has said, pictures would be a big help.I have a couple parts machines here and might possibly have what you need for you shifter.

Welcome to GTT. Relax, we are all in this together. Post clear pics that show full front and side views and any data plates that you can find. If you have a tube frame Bolens, congratulations, you have a good heavy duty tractor. While waiting for tomorrow, you can download the tractor and engine manuals from our Manuals Section. I will try to list some here for you. Good Luck, Rick

Check that engine number. It should be a TRA10D for a 1050 or a TRA12D for a 125?.

Try this manual: http://gardentractor...-owners-manual/

and this one: http://gardentractor...anual-552875-1/

For the fun of it :  http://gardentractor...-1968-brochure/
