another question ,i have a wheel horse 269 h , it has started slowing down quite a bit on hills and the ground speed is not up to par, i got it stuck in the ditch yesterday and the back wheels would not even spin, i do have another rear end that did work great until a drive gear went (po had welded it up so it became unusable so i could swap out the gear and output shaft but if theres other things to look for first i would prefer that, ps the tractor starts off slow to me and gets slower as it heats up

Most likely your transmission is shot. The New Holland version was an LS45 and 55 and they had slipping transmission issues. My friend bought a new one and it would slip while trying to plow snow.I believe there was a different transmission in the later models that fixed the problem.
