Was out checking if there was any spark on my 3410 and could just barely see it with an occasional good spark. Would it be better to replace the coil on the engine or getting an external coil? I know the external is easier but time is not a problem just whether I want to try heating my shed to do it.

Clean the flywheel and magneto. Check the magneto leg gaps. Check that the spark plug wire hasn't been eaten by mice. Then give it a try. Good Luck, Rick

single peace of emery paper is fine for leg gap , just so they dont rub on the wheel when turned around

P S  make sure the stop wire is not shorting out anywhere too
