Looks to be in excellent cosmetic condition overall. Listing says the engine backfires. $250.00. Someone needs to save this one.

They have a Briggs Points engine in them with 3 magnets on the flywheel.Bet ya someone stuck a Magnetron ignition coil on it.They backfire and run awefull If you can get it started.Also very hard to crank over.

 

I tried a Magnetron coil on mine and it doesn't work lol.

 

 

Decals are a little faded and someone painted it but atleast they masked them off decent enough.

I had a dealer give me a Magnetron coil to put on an old cast iron single Briggs.  Like you said, won't work,

If you put a flywheel on off of a briggs that used the magnetron coils it would work.
