I've been looking for a replacement seat for my 23 year old STX38 yellow deck and find that quite a challenge.  It seems there are hundreds of replacement seats on the internet but have yet to find one that looks like it will work despite many of the advertisements claiming to be for my unit.  It seems I have a choice of trying to glue my seat back on the metal seat tray or ???  Anyone changed theirs and if so where did you find replacement?

I have a JD F525 front deck mower.  Bought it used.  Mowed twice with it and the seat came off went in the junk pile.  Put one on from an MTD and been happy ever since.  Why JD put the cheapest junk seats on their smaller tractors and mowers is beyond me.  Seat is to small, not shaped right, to hard and slick.

Update:  I found several seats with the correct bolt pattern but wow!  They all seem over-priced to me... I also need a new hood but even an old beat up used hood is $170 or more :-(     Anyway back to the update, I bought a spray can of head liner adhesive and glued the seat pad back on to the metal seat tray.  Don't know how long that will last but that's where it's at for now.
