Bolens G10 charging issue

Sounds to me like all you need is that diode to change that 36 AC voltage to DC voltage for charging.  Check your Briggs dealer as he may have the right diode for that holder.  Seen it on other tractors but most are just an in line plug in set up.

I wanted to share this pic with everyone. I starting to think that the diode blew and caused this burned look on the diode connector. I'm wondering if they didn't have another and just left it go that way.
