I've had this Simplicity/Craftsman that may have been screwed together by Murray from the Simplicity plans that Sears bought. Anyway, since I've only had it 11 years, I never noticed during all those oil changes and tune ups that it says Courage on the mower and Pro on the engine. The way it's held up I'm thinking its a Pro, but how can I be sure, are the serial numbers the give away?

I'd assume the one on the engine that was put on at the Kohler factory is correct.  The one on the tractor was put there by whoever assembled it and they used the wrong sticker for the engine that was put in it.

That's what I thought too. Couldn't believe it still ran so good. I really can't believe I never noticed the discrepancy!

The only courage I had was on a free cub. Ate the starter and the valves were screwed up.

Rab good once I got it going again
