I think this is cheap? It looks like an okay restoration.

That's significantly less than the one brought in Pella, IA Saturday.

IIRC

That's a very good price on that. I picked one up and I was surprised at how well it's built. I think I remember reading that Baird was a machining company, so that explains a lot. Wisconsin engines are the finest built engines in my opinion. Hey Pete, I think those kids at the Hudson show put over 100 miles each on those three Baird Beaver tractors.

yep pretty sure they did, one of the things I love about tractor people.  complete stranger grabs my daughter out of the blue and puts her on his very nice machine and says " have at it " takes a special sort of person to do that.

It sure does say something about the tractor crowd, Pete. There's a kid at the show who's always supplying the guys with water for their hit-n-miss engines. He dumps the garbage cans and helps with many other things. One man had a Gibson D on a trailer and was just talking to people as they asked about it. I saw the kid talking with the man and I could tell that the kid wanted to ride it badly. The man rolled it off the trailer and smiled as the kid took it for a ride and that kid was in his glory.

when I was walking to see hankg at the last show I saw he let a small kid on his panzer and his parents taking a picture. I didn't say nothing hank but it meant alot, that's what it's all about.
