I keep about 4-6 spring loaded type mouse traps loaded daily. I might get about 2-3 mice a week. During the summer I shared my domain with a rat snake which left the traps bare for a long time. Recently my traps have been robbed of the bait of peanut butter mixed with corn syrup to make it sticky. This has always worked until lately. I noticed on the trip pad an F on one side & an S on the other. Like all my old traps I thought this meant fast or slow in which I kept them on F for fast. While loading these new traps last night I noticed wrighting on each side of the pad. Here's the stupid me part...the F side says firm & the S side says sensitive. All this time I had them on the firm side thinking it meant fast like my old ones. Needless to say now their on the S side. I'm assuming now I'll have to screw the traps down to catch my big fat mice.

The bucket traps are pretty fool proof. I have seen a new version with screen wire on top with a tube they drop in and cant get back out.

I just slide a kernel of corn into the bait tad so it doesn't fly off when the little critters try to get it.

Maybe the F & S really stand for fire and safe --- there's  people in the government that are looking out for our well being, Heaven forbid someone gets hurt with a mouse trap.

Ha Jim, that's funny stuff! There was one time back in the early '70's we got 2 mice with one little trap. One was caught normally but the other was flipped over on his back beside the trap. Near as we could figure the second mouse had his neck over the trap wire while the other one actually set it off at the bait.

AND thanks for posting that video. I saw that a few years ago and never knew how to find it again. I'm still laughing!
