Here's my newest project, A homemade Garden Tractor I found at the scrap yard. Me and a buddy of mine were taking some scrap of his in to the local yard, while we were there we looked through a couple of piles of scrap. There was a bunch of interesting stuff and some lawnmowers but nothing super interesting until I looked under an old cut up section of truck frame. Underneath was what appeared to be a homemade tractor of some sort with a shortened rear end and transmission. We pulled it out and boy that thing weighs a ton. I knew I wanted to bring it home with me so I headed back to the office and after a bit of haggling I got it for $30.
So far I've put a good set of tires on it, reinforced the frame, lengthened the frame and removed the rear brakes (For the time being) As well as opened up the rear diff to make sure everything was in good shape, next up is the trans.
If anyone can tell me what the transmission is out of that would be great! I'll post updates as time goes on
