I was lucky enough that it broke right behind the adjustment bolt, leaving the stud easy for me to remove... I PROBABLY messed up at the part where I was unaware that there was a torx head on the adjustment bolt and never held that... so yeaaaaa....

Let me get this straight, because its only 8:39 am right now, I was up til 5 so my brain is not fully functional.... If I have the head completely off.... and I am looking at the piston in the cylinder, top dead center will be when the piston is pushed all the way out and I can not see any of the cylinder, correct? thanks!

Yes Piston will be the whole way up.

Torx bit is in the center of the rocker nut.You Hold the Torx bit firmly and tighten/loosen the rocker nut just like a jam nut. They make a tool for it but you can use a 10mm wrench and a T20 Torx bit driver.

This tool makes them a little easier to set.Slide your Torx driver down inside and your good to go.
