I have a mf12 hydro with solid state ignition. I need a new ignition switch. I've read several posts on here about it but haven't found any definite answers or part numbers. Mine has 4 posts on the back of the switch. Can someone here give me a part number for a replacement switch? Thanks

Welcome to GTT. Which engine is it? Down load the manual from our Manuals Section. If it is the Tecumseh engine try http://home.earthlin...ller/index.html for some hints on the problems. Try our sponsors on the home page to get the part. Those engines were used on many different brands. Good Luck, Rick

I do not have a part number, but do know that it needs to be a "ground short to kill" not "power to coil" style. If you get a switch that applies power, it will damage the SSI/CDI unit.
Now days, they are denoted with a "M" on the terminal that goes to the wiring.

You may try agcopartsbooks.com also. Mi can't from the iPad, or I would look it up.
