I just picked up a G174 Bolens and have a question about wheels and tires. Were different wheels used with turf tires than ags? The reason I ask is that mine has 29.5x12x15 rears and 20x8x10 fronts, they are turfs. I would like to run ag tires. My wheels are dated 6/86 and I have tri color decals. I am assuming it is an 86/87?

Also I'm looking for a parts tractor, a G152,G154, or G172 may work for what I am after. Someone had a OS! moment at some point and broke something that isn't commonly damaged, but I forgave it due to the 394 hours on the clock.

You need to buy the same size tires as the turfs. You do not need to switch rims just pay attention to the size tire you take off that rim and buy gas to match.

I will look into that, I need the main case for the rear axle. The PO broke the ears off the case for the three point somehow, they used nickel rod to weld the pin to what was left. Pretty sad since the thing is very clean. So it works but, it's definitely not pretty.

I figured I could tear it down and swap the case when I do the repaint.
