Have some young peach trees that have started to bear fruit this past season, however all the fruit was ruined by insects. What could I use to spray the trees with and still have the fruit safe for human consumption? Thanks, Bill.

What to use on peach tree?

I use a Fruit Tree Spray from Earl May. Has worked in the past on Apple trees but had so much rain this year could not keep them sprayed. Had the same problem you did - insects and rotting on the tree before they were ripe. urs are the small white peaches. Neighbor has some of the large peaches and they turned out great as did their blue plums.

I used bayer advanced fruit citrus & vegetable insect control on my small peach trees. I just planted the trees this spring and after a couple of weeks they were covered in ants. I thought this was going to be a spray on type, but you mix a small amount in water and then go aprox 10" away from the trunk and pour it on the ground around the trees. It did take care of the ant problem, mother nature and high winds took care of the few peaches I had. I still need to get a spray on insect killer for next year and for my raspberries.

I`ll try it, but probably should wait until next Spring to apply it?
