Just signed up for GTtalk, seems like a great forum! I could use some help with my new-to-me Gilson. The Briggs engine tag says 1969, so I'll go with that. The Gilson Brothers tag says:

Model # 754 42326

Serial # 076676

My Intertec manual mentions a model 754 for Gilson, but none of the diagrams look the same (front suspension, brake/clutch linkage, etc.). And Googling gives me absolutely nothing about 754 or 42326 - from 1969, or any year for that matter. So - identifying the tractor would be my first trick. Then, If I could find any literature, like an owners or service manual - that would be aces. At minimum, it sure would be great to find a parts diagram - it's going to need some belts, and I don't trust the previous owner to have put the right ones on. So again - nice to be here, and thanks for the help in advance!

That appears to be a C series tractor.  I am not much of an authority on C series, but the I believe the S series that replaced the C came out in about '68.  I also thought the C series usually had Kohler engines.  I may be wrong on these points, though.  I have never seen a C in person, there were no Gilson dealers around here then.  We had a big Montgomery Ward store, though, so there are lots of Wards branded S series around.

Thanks, guys! After doing some research (Ebay, of all places!), it seems like it has to be a Gilson C10. And thanks to the GTtalk manual section, I was able to find a parts diagram. So it looks like I'm in business! Still don't understand what's up with the tag - maybe C10s and 754s are the same. But if you search Gilson on Ebay in the Completed Auctions section, there's one that comes up that's exactly the same (well, except for my crappy paint job!) . I wish I could find some re-pop decals, but I'd bet they're just about impossible to find.
